Adult Ballet Class

This ballet class is specially designed for adults who want to enjoy the grace and strength of ballet in a supportive and inspiring environment. We begin at the barre, focusing on posture, breath, and classical technique while gently warming up the whole body. As we move into center work, we continue to build coordination and balance through simple adage and port de bras, encouraging fluid arms and ease through the spine. Rather than traditional allegro, we emphasize grounded movement with gentle bounce and buoyancy through the knees—inviting a soft, springy quality that supports joint health and rhythm. Throughout the class, we stay rooted in the beauty and style of ballet while adapting movement to each dancer’s comfort and capacity, with a focus on expression, freedom, and finding joy in motion.

Adult Adaptive Dance Class

An Adaptive Adult Dance class is a fun, inclusive, and therapeutic movement experience designed to support people living with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and other age-related health conditions in improving their mobility, confidence, and overall well-being. Each class blends creative expression with evidence-informed movement practices, often beginning with seated posture and warm-up exercises that awaken body awareness and gently activate the limbs. Guided by music, imagery, and repetition, participants engage in a variety of seated and standing activities that build coordination, strength, balance, and amplitude of movement. Exercises often incorporate cues from dance styles around the world and include opportunities for vocal work and creative improvisation. The goal is not only to encourage movement in the moment but to help retrain the body for more functional, everyday mobility—ultimately empowering participants to experience joy, freedom, and connection through dance.

Adult Movement & Limbering Class

This uplifting class is all about moving gently, breathing deeply, and feeling good in our bodies. Set to a curated playlist of calming and energizing music, the session combines soft limbering exercises, gentle stretches, and flowing movement sequences designed to release tension, improve mobility, and build a greater sense of ease and well-being. Movements are done on the floor, standing, or moving through space, and are easily adapted to suit all abilities. The emphasis is on reconnecting with your body, moving at your own pace, and leaving class feeling lighter, looser, and more energized. It’s a welcoming, judgment-free space to enjoy music, move together, and simply feel better.
