Summer Term 2026
There is no better time to introduce your little one to dance than the summer. Our Dance for Young Children summer term runs for 11 weeks beginning Saturday, May 30th, offering a warm and welcoming environment where toddlers and preschoolers can explore movement, music, and creativity at their own pace.
Classes are designed to build coordination, confidence, and a genuine love of dance — all in a setting that feels safe, fun, and encouraging. Our DFYC instructors are experienced in early childhood movement and know how to meet every child exactly where they are.
What Your Child Will Experience
Each class is designed to be age-appropriate, engaging, and genuinely enjoyable for young children. Through guided movement, music, and imaginative play, your child will:
- Develop coordination, balance, and body awareness
- Build confidence through movement and creative expression
- Learn to follow simple directions in a group setting
- Make friends and experience the joy of dancing together
No prior dance experience is required — just enthusiasm and comfortable clothes to move in.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should my child wear?
Comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows freedom of movement. Ballet shoes or soft-soled shoes are ideal but not required for first classes. We will let you know what is needed once your child is enrolled.
Can I stay and watch?
We encourage parents to observe from our waiting area. Some children settle more quickly when parents step back after drop-off — our teachers will guide you on what works best for your child.
Is this suitable for children with no dance experience?
Absolutely. DFYC is designed specifically as an introduction to dance. Every child starts as a beginner and our instructors meet them at their level.
