Fairytale Ballet Camp

Once upon a time, there was a ballet camp so magical it felt like stepping right into a fairytale. Welcome to MPSD’s Fairytale Ballet Camp — a half-day summer camp for five and six year olds that blends classical ballet with storytelling, imagination, and plenty of enchantment.

Running July 13–17, this week-long camp is the perfect summer experience for young dancers who love ballet, princesses, castles, and adventure. Your child will learn ballet basics, explore fairytale stories through movement, and create memories that will last long after the curtain falls.

Inside the Fairytale

Each day of camp combines structured ballet training with imaginative fairytale themes — the kind of experience that makes children excited to walk through the door every morning. Over the course of the week, your dancer will:

• Be introduced to classical ballet technique through age-appropriate exercises
• Explore fairytale stories and characters through guided movement and creative play
• Develop coordination, posture, and musicality in a fun, supportive environment
• Take part in a special end-of-week showcase to share what they have learned

No prior dance experience is required — just a love of stories and a willingness to dance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should my child wear?
A leotard and tights with ballet shoes if they have them. If your child does not have ballet shoes yet, soft-soled shoes or bare feet are fine for camp. We will send full details upon registration.

Is there an end-of-week performance?
Yes — we hold a small informal showcase on the final day where families are welcome to come and watch. Details will be shared with registered families closer to the date.

What are the camp hours?
This is a half-day camp. Specific daily start and end times will be confirmed with registered families — please include any scheduling notes in the registration form below.

My child has never danced before — is that okay?
Absolutely. The Fairytale Ballet Camp is designed as an introduction to ballet for young children. No experience is needed — just imagination and excitement.

How many spots are available?
Spaces are limited to keep class sizes small and ensure every child gets individual attention. We recommend registering early to secure your child’s spot.
