Meet Danielle McGettigan: Teaching & Spreading Joy Through Dance Since 2007 ✨

Hey there! I’m Danielle, and I’ve been living and breathing dance since I was just four years old! Music and rhythm are basically my life’s soundtrack, and you’ll see that energy come alive in my classes. Trust me, we’re going to have a blast!

My Dance Journey 👟

Starting with Irish Newfoundland step dance (hello, roots!), I fell head over heels for ALL things tap! In 2004, I achieved my Associate (Honours) with ISTD (fancy, right?). But that’s not all – I’m totally into music theory, jazz, modern, hip-hop, musical theatre, and of course… TAP TAP TAP!

Fun Fact! 💫

I’m not just about dance,  I’m also a math whiz with a degree in Applied Mathematics! Who says you can’t count beats AND equations?

Teaching Philosophy 🌟

My mission? Helping every student find their rhythm and their voice! We’ll dive into the amazing history of tap, build solid technique, and create some seriously cool choreography together. Get ready to work hard and shine bright!

Professional Development 🎵

As a founding member of the East Coast Rhythm Project, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to train with Heather Cornell of Manhattan Tap, jamming with jazz musicians and percussionists. Every step of my journey has been filled with amazing teachers, both local and international, who’ve helped shape my style!

Beyond the Dance Studio ⭐

When I’m not in the dance studio, you can find me in the classroom teaching high school or planning the next big event. It’s all about sharing knowledge and creating amazing experiences!

Ready to tap, groove, and discover the joy of dance together? Let’s make some rhythm magic! ✨
